Marissa Cotroneo

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Marissa earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University and her bachelor’s degree in Biological Psychology from Pace University in Westchester. With over 10 years of personal running experience and time spent working at running camps, she has developed a strong background in training and treating runners. Over the past two years, Marissa has worked as a travel physical therapist throughout the West Coast and Hawaii, gaining valuable experience treating diverse patient populations and exposure to a wide range of treatment styles and clinical approaches.

Marissa is passionate about working with individuals who want to be active and improve their overall quality of life. Whether they are recovering from an injury, post-op, or rediscovering their enjoyment of exercise, she understands that injuries impact not only the body but also the mind, and places a strong emphasis on addressing the mental and emotional challenges that can accompany the rehabilitation process to allow them to go back to what they love.

In her free time, you can catch her at a run club, on a hike, rock climbing, or exploring the city for a new coffee shop to try out.
