Mark Taylor
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Mark Taylor brings a lifelong passion for movement and performance to his work as a physical therapist. Originally from Houston, Texas, Mark began his athletic journey as a competitive gymnast at the men’s gymnastics Olympic training center, later expanding his experience into cheerleading and dance. His athletic and artistic background started his deep appreciation for the body’s strength, precision, and adaptability.
Mark’s career evolved from gymnastics and national cheer competitions into a thriving professional dance career, performing with the Houston Ballet, the Hartford Ballet, and several New York-based ballet, modern, and contemporary companies. Through years of training, performing, and recovering from his own injuries, Mark developed a deeper interest in human movement and rehabilitation, which naturally led him to the field of physical therapy.
Before earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Mark worked as a Personal Trainer, collaborating closely with physical therapists to help clients regain strength and mobility. During this time, he also coached high-level competitive gymnastics for both men’s and women’s teams, specializing in floor and bars.
Now, as a practicing physical therapist, Mark integrates his expertise in biomechanics, performance, and corrective movement to provide individualized care for patients of all backgrounds. His specialties include injury prevention, performance optimization, and rehabilitation for athletes, dancers, and active individuals.
